Opinions on Sterling single H verses HS

Hello all,

I was wanting some opinions on single H verses HS configurations with Sterling basses. I have played both and am split on what to order my 07 LE in. I have traditionally been a single H player, but I am thinking of going to a two pickup model for the LE Blue Dawn just for diversity.

If you can keep both, I'd recommend having both; If I could only keep one of mine, I'd have to keep the Blue Pearl Sterling H. Not because of the single H, but because of other things (feel, tone, weight).

im a big fan of the HS. i have one of each sterling and i play the HS the most.

now you gotta keep in mind that the HS doesnt have a parallel position. im a series fan so that's no biggie to me + the other pickup combos more than make up for it IMO.

since you already couple single H's then i think there's no reason to not get an HS.

FWIW the HS is my fav by far

I agree with phatduckk.. I've owned one of each MM configuration (H,HS,HH), and the Sterling HS is by far my favorite. So many good, useable, and distinctly different tones in there man. Just a fantastic bass all around.

the single s solo'd is a very, very fun tone too. its not that the neck H on the HH isnt rad, but there's something nice about the S.

The single coil PU on my HS Sterling adds a huge amout of tonal variation. Soloed, mixed with the H, it all sounds great. Best value upcharge ever, I'd be so bold to venture.
