Howdy All, long time no post! Super psyched to be getting a Bongo! Been dreaming of one for a few years. The first time I put flat-wounds on my Stingray, I instantly knew, I need 2 basses (at least, right!). I love everything about the Bongo, BP and crew really did break new ground with this other-worldly freak machine! To the details, 5 string HH Ebony Stealth!! Funny, I've never been a black guitar guy, but when the stealth was introduced I was sold. I think it's the satin finish that does it for me. The 5th string and ebony board are firsts for me, so I'm really curious and excited about both. Got this on layaway at Bass Central (they have a Music Man sale going on!) I'll post pics when I get it, hopefully in about a month. Here's a link to Bass Central's photo til the real thing arrives (hope it's ok to post):

Thanks guys, I can't wait! The good news is that my wait is only dependent on those pesky dollars!

Congrat for your decision on the Bongo 5 HH, stealth black. I never been a black guitar guy either, and what I did ? just ordered a totally black bongo 6 in January. I am still waiting, but counting back the days.
Happy waitin'!

Cool! Those six strings look insane! I'm primarily a skinny-stringer, so this jump to 5 BIG strings should be interesting. Can't wait to hit that low B on the Bongo! So did you go for the stealth as well, or the shiny black? Happy waiting back to you. I waited on my Axis to be built, about 5 months if I remember right. I like my wait now better, as I said I could end it any time...with cold-hard-cash$$! :D

Thanks, Yeah, same here, I could end it any time ...with that cold-hard cash :)! Changing for 5 strings I think will be easy for you, at least back in 98' when I went for the five, was easy as 1x1, than picked up a different brand sixers in 2006, was easy too, sold the sixers to take my first special order on a Stingray5 pacific blue burst, came in three month.
I ordered the (shiny)-regular black Bongo 6 HS, not the stealth.

Congrats on the Bongo and welcome to the 5-string club.

Thanks, my man! I'm jealous of your 25th! The wife almost killed me on the Bongo - the 25th would have sealed the deal!!
Still hoping to get a 25th six string some day.

it plays like a gem and has more tones than my rays and all others I have!
that 18V preamp is insane as well!

Just put a deposit down on a 2009 new Bongo Dargie Delight II H4 with ebony board. counting the days till i pay the rest off on it...hahaha!! so know how your feeling.
