While I do agree that she is very talented and she is likely to cause more kids to pick up the guitar, I still don't care for the new album. Violet Journey just had tons more feel to me. This album just seems like all flash and no soul...and the talk show hosts aren't helping by constantly asking her to play that lousy rendition of the Beat It solo...

No, i absolutely agree with that assessment. Thing is, we got sould when we get the new John Mayer CD... I think Orianthi's sound in the new album is exactly what the market needs now... To let people know again that there's great guitar solos outside of heavy metal, and to get the Jonas Brothers to give up their guitars!:D

Ok,
First I believe this belongs in a MJ forum or a PRS related one, because she is no EBMM girl (maybe in the future).

Second- I watched "This is it" yesterday and I was impressed bý the punchiness of the band and the sound of her and the other guitar player who played a white Silo all the time. Their sound matched great.

To all the guys flaming the girl: Where have you been with 23? On stage with an artist like MJ, Endorser of a wellknown company before playing with that artist?

She stands her man (aka girl) and she has my full respect and I wish her all the luck.

And now back to EBMM:)

Do we have info about the Silo player of MJ´s band?? And how did that deal happen BP?

Great job, John! As usual, your skills amaze me.

I've listened to Orianthi a bit. She's a great guitarist. Definitely a shredder. I just can't get used to the poppy music she's doing.
