Ah, King Hazel ...

What parts are missing? Pickups?

I'm sure the customer service folks can steer you towards the French distributor who can order the missing parts.

i've read on the French Forum that it was impossible to get some parts if the guitar wasn't bought in France.
we have to contact the official dealer of the original country to have something.
but like i write i don't know if is there a dealer in this case (endorsee)

thanks

Well I would start with an email to customer service - [email protected].

For warranty issues, yes, that makes sense. However you should be able to order parts, etc. through your local distributor. Email and find out for sure.

Edit: Just looked at your pics- so it's the saddles and tuners that aren't standard? That should be an easy fix. I've ordered both of those before from MM.

I'd also like to get parts for my 20th silo, it would be the pickup covers because they already have traces I cannot clean....anyone has a clue?

Hello ZOR very fine to see you here

me also i would like to exchange my pickups covers for me it's impossible

we have the same problem we leave in the same country:rolleyes:

but for you your guitar isn't US because you have bought it from Tristan KLEIN in France and it was "legal"
you must have no problem to buy part
if it's the case tell us................:D

wow a thread that is going to involve customer service in america.....because two endorsees sold their guitars. I know that it isnt the buyers fault but the irony is fabulous.

Just a litle reminder of two of my least favorite all time endorsee's

Yeah, it sounds like quite a kick in the nuts. Well on the plus side most of your endorsees are fantastic! So I guess you can't win 'em all.

Well, a guitar is made to be played. Pickups size are standard. You can certainly use covers from parts sellers like Stewart MacDonald.

i'm agree with you

but imagine it was a bridge or a pickup or any specials and originals parts

the situation in France wasn't clear to this subject
and for my opinion very dangerous if we can't buy USED guitar to an other country than France .

one sample /

if i sell my silo to a french consumer he doesn't know that it was US at start several day after he broke a pickup (custom pickup for this 20th) he can't order it because the guitar is US .

thanks:)

If you buy second hand (in France or outside France) you will always have problem if you need the customer service. It's the case not only for the guitars but also for a lot of products (for luxury items, it's more or less always the case). It's more interesant to sell first hand product. As a consumer, we have to understand that the companies have to do business otherwise the die.

But, now if we talk about buying a new guitar in shop, the situation is a bit confused. First of all, in Europe, there is no restriction for buying products in other european countries. Thus the notion of "national" distributor loses a bit of its signification. Besides, for warranties problem, you will deal with the shop, not with the distributor. For instance, if you buy your guitar on a famous german site (it starts with Tho....), if you have a problem, you will sent back the guitar to them. After that, it's their problem to find a way with Ernie Ball US.

But, I think those problems are hypothetical : the quality of our beloved MM is top notch. My kids will inherit my Music Man ...

Of course, you will say : but in twenty years ? Well try to find a real Fender pickup form the 60...

What Luke 69 was trying to explain is that HTD refuse to sell you spare parts if you have purchased your guitar outside of France or may have purchased in france from someone who purchased elsewhere.

as a result, now, a lot of potential EBMM customer in France are loosing confidence (internet is a small word) and most of them are now thinking twice before getting a Music Man guitar and I know some of them who are already looking for other brands ...

so not going into price discussion again, but in the end it's a loose loose situation (loose for EBMM, loose for the customer cause he can't get the parts he need in France, unless the guitar is 100% purchased in France)

THANKS David to help me
my english was so poor:eek::eek:

in fact i'm agree with your translation is exactly what i want to say

if i want another USED ebmm and if it's wasn't "legal" in France i didn't get it
i don't want to go into price discussion again. But perhaps this situation is the result of very hight price in France for new brand .

the price my silo 20 th premium is more more cheaper than a silo special new brand.

If it is just a matter of spare parts, can you not simply order it and pick it up in perhaps Germany or Belgium?

BTW, I also got my second hand 20th for less than I paid for a brand new Silo Special.
