THANKS David to help me
my english was so poor:eek::eek:

in fact i'm agree with your translation is exactly what i want to say

It's funny, David, you and me, we are French and we write in English ... Internet is killing us :rolleyes:

In France, I believe a seller is obliged to sell ... so I don't think that the rule that HTD apply is really legal.

Hey man, that sucks that you're going to sell it. It's a beautiful guitar.

But did you call customer service? What did they say?

Or perhaps you could ask a forumite in a neighbouring country to buy you the spare parts you need?

If we're talking minor parts (and not warranty repairs), I don't see why you can't work this out?

tu as surement raison va sur le forum francais et tu verra ce qui se passe...

je traduit parceque c'est pas un Forum Francophone a la base

Francois
i'm agree with you but go to the French Forum and see what they said

@Beej
i've "loose a Luke dargie " because problem with French CS the guitar was insane
when it return of waranty a too too long history...
and now
my silo is a kind of"illegal" or prohibited guitar in France
cause a lot of us can't buy brand new in France because the price was too too hight for example a regular Luke 3200 $ and it's not a BFR and when we bught a used guitar in other country we are alone if we need some parts even we paid it the high price.

We aren't "killers" but just guitar player who try to play with EBMM products
in good conditions and respect

i'm not alone in this case ..

<FRENCH OFF>

Sorry guys, we are dealing with "french internal affairs" ... :p

Well, a guitar is made to be played. Pickups size are standard. You can certainly use covers from parts sellers like Stewart MacDonald.

Thanks for the answer, it's true that a guitar has to be played, but I also know that from time to times I like change, so in case I'd like to sell it, I'd like to get new covers, because they are really sweet when they are new and add to the guitar. Anyway it's a really confortable, easy playing great sounding and fantastic looking guitar, not to mention its smell!!

Edit: Hum... if you need a part for your 20th silo you can always ask me

(VF: HTD se fera un plaisir de me vendre une pièce, tant que je dis pas à qui j'ai acheté ma Silo aller pas tchuss...hihihihihi)

OK THIS IS JUST REALLY NOT FAIR.

I have had a major problem in the past with Luc69....

His Dargie is only his side of the story.

HE spotted in his mind a finish flaw. High Tech didnt agree and neither did we. He was extremely unhappy and so we bit the bullet and made a new body no charge (those who know a one off dargie body long after production was expensive and troublesome to boot.) He still was miserable. High Tech makes Vigier GUitars that are fantastic. High Tech and Music Man felt that guitar was perfect. Luc didnt. He wore out High Tech CS and then Turned to Kevin here and barraged him. Kevin couldnt make him happy.

Now he wants spares incase something goes wrong. Do you really believe that we wouldnt help get him parts if there was a failure? Do you really believe that High Tech would ignore European law?
High Tech is not obligated to provide warranty service for an instrument that theuy were not involved in. period. Think about it.
The end user buys a guitar from another country knowing that there will be no local support. They do this to because the guitar is too expensive for them in their country. The guitar is too expensive because the infrastructure and taxes along with a reasonable profit, etc for the distributor. The customer buys the guitar from America and then expects to get the benefits of the distributors
overhead and personnel and service that they knowingly didnt pay for in the first place.

Do you think that we would stay in a business relationship where a distributor was raping the end user? We know exactly how much margin or profit each and every distributor is making and it is not excessive when you consider the responsiblities and expecation they have from both EBMM and the local dealer down to the end user.

Let me just tell you that I will get flamed by this customer on other forums due to this response but I really couldnt let this continue. There are many sides to all stories. We are not upset he is changing guitar companies. Sometimes you just cannot make someone happy and there must be another company that can. With This I am basically firing the customer. It really isnt up for debate. Luc69 we tried as hard as we could and we never meet your expectations. Now please do me a favor and stop posting here. We are done. No more one sided stories.

Now for contacting US customer service. Many people dont realize (as I have posted this before) Kevin and Beth are the international sales department for the world. Thats it. Ernie Ball AND Music Man. Over eighty different countries. They are responsible everything ...... all business aspects for each and every international market.

Have any of you noticed that both of them have been scarce on the forum? Each one gets between 20-30 PM's and emails from the foriegn forumites. Many are trying to be penpals, some are trying to circumvent their respective distributor, some are contacting them directly first and pretty much demand and expect one on one personal service. It was killing them. The forumies have buried them. I still get buried. WE want to be there for you but there is an infrastructure in each country that is there intentionally to service and provide for your needs. If you have exhausted your service locally then please let us know we will help but it is totally out of whack and these wonderful people/teammates really deserve some respect for what they do, and the time to do it.

Listen this last part is not to hurt anyones feelings internationally. We really enjoy our various relationship but ask that you understand just what both of those lovely people have to do every day.

Well there you go ... the other side of the story we didn't hear.

In all of my dealings with EBMM, I've always had my expectations exceeded. Beth, Kevin, Dan, AJ ... everyone I've ever dealt with there has gone above and beyond and treated me more than fairly.

I have had nothing but excellent excellent excellent dealings with EBMM CS, not that i've had much to ask them, the guitars are always perfect! The times where i've emailed them i've always gotten a super friendly response, they sure do a fantastic job.

^ what's the point in rolling your eyes at the owner of the company when you're not fully aware of the situation on both sides?

There is a lot of history in the issue with Luc69 that does not need to be carried on with here, with which I won't bore you recounting the details. Basically, we have an abusive customer who has exhausted all of their avenues of legitimate service. Luc, if you want backup (or, in this case, original) parts for your Silhouette 20th, why don't you ask Hazel? His coming here and posting on a "horse that has been beaten to death" issue is only an example of how far these people will go to exercise their abuse and entitlement. Luc, we tried helping you via the avenues that are made available to you and your demands were beyond anyone's ability to please - not to mention how poorly our French partners have been treated by you in the whole process. I will not go into this any further. Case closed.
