First of all, I'm going to be a dad again! My wife is about 5 weeks pregnant, so we're going to have our second kiddo around January 12th. We were not planning this! But we're very happy & excited.

Second, my job has been sucking for a long time now. I've been very frustrated & I lost my motivation a while back. My salary is comical (my wife makes several thousand a year more than me....and she only works 24 hours a week!), and for some reason, people who have been here for a lot less time than me are being promoted & receiving pay increases. WTF?? My boss praises my work all the time, but she thinks I'm basically being screwed because my personality is so laid back while everybody else here is constantly on edge & creating a fuss about everything. Whatever it is, I'm sick of it. (And actually, my boss is tired of the BS, too...she's quitting at the end of the month.) I submitted my resume to a local company needing a graphic designer, and I have a job interview tomorrow. :) I hate job interviews & I'm a little nervous, but I'll give it my best.

It's an interesting period in my life right now!

First, congrats on the offspring! Keep us posted. We shall all pray that he/she doesn't turn out badly, like a drummer or something.

Second, good luck on the job. I'm working my way out of a POS job right now in which I'm working too much, my results are too good and they're not paying me half of what I'm really worth.

So I'm setting out on my own, almost.

Screw corporate America!

Well, except Biff, and you can take one look at his shirts and tell he ain't Corporate America.

No really, kids are great and I'm very happy for you. Mine are growing up, my daughter starts collage this fall.

And good luck with the job interview too, more money means more basses!

Congratulations! I love kids too.

Other peoples!

Good luck with the interview tomorrow. I haven't had to interview in almost 13 years. I wouldn't mind if I never had to again. Just be yourself and after they tell you what they expect from you, don't be afraid to tell them what you want from them. That way everyone goes in with their eyes wide open from the get go.

Congrat's to you and your wife, Bill, on your second child!

Also, good luck on your interview tomorrow. I followed this very same advise back in 2000 for my present job, and didn't even need the "mandatory" second interview...hired the next day!

Well, I just have to ask what kind of collage she'll be working on, Chuck.

Something like this...?

Hey Bill - You can't beat family. All the best for next January.

I begin a new job in September which also means a move back to my hometown. I hope that the interview goes well and you can enjoy a new found fulfillment in your work.

Congrats! We're also keen to produce a sibling for Aussie Jay and have been practising regularly.

Aussie Jay's sibling should be perfect.

Practice makes perfect, right?

Burns calories too.

congrats on the pregnancy, keep your chin up with work and think of the positivity that you get from your family first. Finding good paid work for some of us is very hard. For the last 14 years ive been doing low paid jobs and just now things are starting to look better plus i have a 2 week old daughter. Keep going and stay well.
