OT: Ampeg blues...................

Larry's right. I have one of the QSC PLX amps and it's a killer. Had it for a few years now and no problems (knock on wood). Dead quiet and lightweight. I had a Crown but traded it for the QSC. The thing was like 45-50 lbs by itself. Made the road crew a little happier

Hmmmmmm.............................How about a model number?

Also, what pre-amp are you using?

I'm using an Ampeg SVP-PRO preamp and a PLX 3002 power amp. The Ampeg is a little noisy but not really an issue. One of these days I want to check out the SVPCL preamp. I just wish Mark Bass made a preamp--I'd grab one in a second!!

i got to play a mark bass combo at gc a week or so ago. it was great! i dont remember the model or name, but it was a nice 2x10 combo

i really like my rb1001. i had a mesa mpulse 600+ that i thought was great ... wish i still had that. i had an ampeg svt cl for a while and wasnt too fond of it... it wasnt for me
