Hey guys, Im interested in getting an audio interface for doing some recordings at home with my JP7. It would be just me so a small one would be ok.

I was really interested in PreSonus Firebox however I read some negative reviews at a mac forum about it and everyone seemed to praise MOTU's Ultralite. Here's the catch, the price. MOTU's Ultralite looks really cool but it's really expensive compared to the Firebox. I guess it's all subjective but I just want to get the best value for my money even if it's the expensive choice I just want to buy something that will get me satisfied.

I was wondering if anyone on the forum could share some knowledge or recommend me any gear?

BTW I'd be using an Intel iMac

Thanks guys :D

I'm using an E-MU 0404 USB and it does exactly what it's supposed to, but I guess you're looking for a Firewire one, right?

I have the Omega too and I've been pretty happy with it. The external power supply means I can use it as a mixer on it's own (w/o a computer around). That's been handy on a few occasions.
