Hi guys and gals... sorry for the late notice on this one:

Laurence Mollerup is presenting the Bass Workshop at Vancouver Community College on June 9-10th 2007. It will be aimed at beginner and intermediate bass players. There will be classes on Theory and the Fingerboard, Playing along with CD's and transcribing music, Creating grooves with drummers, and soloing. There will also be a class on Double bass -bowing, fingering, and jazz playing techniques.

I know long time pro's that can't even do that stuff! :rolleyes:

You guys must be really good up there.

Seriously, I wish I could go. Maybe if there's next one...with more forewarning.

Damn, got an afternoon gig, and too late to call a sub- most guys I know will be there, anyway- these are kinda like old home week- exchange stories of the latest exploits of Wayne (formerly known as ) the Bass God, etc.....

(when my OT promoted me to a motor chair a few days ago she fixed a small satchel to thearmrest to carry my phone and pen / paper (my office in a bag:cool: ... I must say that "H is a genius and a sweetheart all in a lovely and brilliantfemale package ... when yer crippled, even small things are LARGE and "H" is a specialist (occupational therapist = OT in helping "cripples" get on with the "job of everyday living" Lucky me , "H is one of the "Top OTguns here in Vancouver and here at this particularrehab centreshe's a superstar leader on myCVA recovery rehab team and sh'es doin' a BIG job to get me back home formore SR5 PzoLovin':cool:... my satchel was fastened with velcroand reinforced with 2 safety pins ... this morningwhen I was dressed and ready to rollout I realized I had 2 safety pins to conquer with one hand through double layers of plastic backed velcro - that's when my "roomie " said " OH yeah, safety pins require lots of concentration when you only have one good hand ... and so it went ... satchell all fixed up and no punctures in me aside from the 2 "belly shots the nurse gives me every day )blood thinners" :eek:

Off to hospital church now:)
steady rain in Vancouver yesterday to keep the trees green and the dust down; but it's not raining inside today:)

altogether now everybody, )if you can move your arms clap your hands to the music:D

Why oh why didn't I spot this post a few days ago? I could have actually done something useful with my weekend. Oh well, rather late now I suppose.

I suppose my weekend won't be a total loss though. Wide Mouth Mason starts in about 4 hours.

It was a good weekend, learned lots have to work on my upright stuff left hand position et al,,,,turn out could of been better on the plus side I had emailed about the things I was interested in learning so all the stuff I wanted was covered in detail...
