It's disconcerting the first time you encounter a gig like that, but by the time you get to my age you'll have lost count of the number of times someone spills a drink on your gear, a drunk jumps on stage only to fall off again, women trip over a monitor and reveal they've had a recent appointment at the waxing salon etc. Welcome to rock and roll.
