OK, GAS got the best of me and I got the Punch Factory. I'm very happy with this thing.It's very transparent and adds some fatness to my rig without messing up the great tone of my EBMM basses.I highly recommend it for any one looking for a compressor for their bass/guitar rigs.

I think you made a good choice, It does fatten your tone without coloring it, plus its a no-brainer to use. I use it 80% of the time live, with punch setting on 5-6. Just enough to get extra dynamic range and sustain in the higher notes.
Some people don't like them because they don't squeeze and huffnpuff like the cheaper stomp boxes. Just watch those I/O jacks.
