Give him the benefit of the doubt. What is his feedback like? If he has great feedback, then maybe your funds haven't cleared yet.

Also, if he doesn't have a Credit Card and is requesting a check from paypal, it can take 1-2 weeks. Even if it was instant, you can't expect people to always ship stuff same day or next. I'm not taking his side, he could be a jerk for all I know, but just relax before making any claims with paypal. You are covered, so feel assured in that regard.

you know why he wants to transfer the money to his bank account right away? because if u file a claim.. paypal cant take the money from his bank for a refund............

This is why I always use my credit card behind Paypal.
Too much of a hassle and from what I have heard about the horror stories on paypal, this buyer protection is rarely an easy process...

It does seem a little odd though that the seller worked with you and gave you some leeway by waiting while you got your payment made, and then you expect him to ship and send a tracking number the very next day? I'd offer the same courtesy.

The only reason I told the seller that I expected the amp shipped the next day with a tracking number is because he was the same exact way with me when he demanded the payment right away. And there was stuff in his message to me that I couldn't type here because it was rude and obnoxious to say the least.

He's got 100% feedback, but thats for buying items. This is the first time he's selling an item. One of the main reasons I think this whole thing is kinda sketchy is because in his item description he says that the item is in mint condition, and in a message to me, he told me it was flawless, but then drops the bomb about the fx loop. So he pretty much wasn't up front with me.

Either way, I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and see how it plays out.

yeah sometimes ebay is annoying to say the least.
i bought a guitar that was "mint and has no issues"
then after i bought it and he sent it he tells me it needs the nut replaced cause it has intonation issues and the wiring might not be perfect.

fast forward to now.
pickups were reversed (in wiring and position, bridge was neck, neck was bridge), nut did need replacing and the tuners were bad also.

i sent him a couple of emails after i received that were very mad (understandable no?) but he never replied.

on the other hand, i never bought anything that was 2nd hand and was "mint and has no issues", you always get screwed one way or the other.

I'm not very familiar with the Dual Rec, but the patch cable in the FX loop is a common necessity on some of the Boogies. I have a Lonestar. If I want to use the facility of the 'solo' feature on the master volume, the amp must be switched into FX loop mode. If used in the hard bypass mode , you won't have that particluar facility, but also won't need the patch leads. If you run effects in the loop anyway, you won't have a problem. I don't know if the DC has a similar 'solo' feature, but it does sound like a similar scenario to mine. It's a common fix that I picked up off the Mesa forum when I thought I'd bought a dud. It's not been a problem since. Hope that offers some reassurance.

Sad to hear about it Phil. Give the seller some time. I think the worst senario is just to have the thing delivered to you and get it repair at your own expense. No worry, you learnt form everything you do, me too.

Thanks Jimmy. I'm confident that everything will be alright, but I think the seller's getting negative feedback from me after I get the amp due to the obnoxious and rude emails.
