Anyone have a favorite Univibe-type stompbox? Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe? Deja 2? Voodoo Labs Micro Vibe? Others? Why do you like what you like?

I have the Voodoo labs Micro Vibe. It's great for nailing Robin Trower and Hendrix. I love it for that, but I kind of wish it was more versatile. It's not for getting more of a keyboard-like distorted rotating Leslie speaker sound, or the shimmery chorus-y type sound (like SRV, for example)

The Hughes & Kettner Rotosphere MKII is really cool, but expensive. Tube-driven, very authentic leslie sound

The Boss RT-20 Rotary Speaker Sound Processor is less than half the price of the H & K, and is probably the one I'll get next. Great sound, very versatile, and cool features.

There are some good demo videos out there if you search, or there's a real good one here:

I have a Voodoo Labs Micro Vibe too and as RobW said, very Hendrixy. I also have Red Witch Moon Phaser that comes close to creating univibe sounds on certain settings believe it or not but can do other stuff too... I keep both on my pedalboard but really only need one!

I have the Voodoo Labs Micro Vibe too. I love it for Trower stuff. For Leslie type sounds I have heard that stereo setup really enhances the effect.

I don't think anything is better for being what a Univibe was than the Dejavibe. Maybe the Sweet Sound Mojo Vibe is as good.

They are the two that are on my list. The Micro Vibe is cool, but it doesn't have the intensity or frequency response of the others, and it's just missing that something. I could live with it, but I can very much tell the difference.

I'd love to find one with the original type circuits that isn't so expensive, but I guess 250+ is way cheaper than a vintage one would be. lol.

If memory serves, the Dunlop Univibe is probably more Univibey than the Microvibe for about the same price unless you can find the now discontinued plain box version that is much cheaper than the current one with that overly expensive fancy box. lol

What about the Lovepedal Vibe? I have been interested in trying that one out and the price isn't has steep as some of the other clones.

Deja-Vibe (even the mini one) sounds amazing,

H&K Rotosphere is the most toneful Leslie too - buy both!

Both? :D

We'll see what I can find around here. I might be able to find a Deja Vibe to check out. Just a matter of actually getting to that store.

Both the KR Megavibe and Sweetsound Mojo Vibe get excellent reviews. I bought a Mojo Vibe and I can't believe how great it sounds. It's rare for me to be blown away by a pedal, but the Mojo Vibe is the real deal. It also has an expression pedal input in case you want to vary the speed by foot.
