Sorry to hear that... I would get another EVH phaser though... It's one good sounding pedal and can't think of anything better in this price range...

Johnny,

How exactly did it happen??? This kind of information is helpful for us all.

Also, check out the rare and limited "custom" MXR Phase 90 (pure script). I have one, but I really don't want to put any wear on it. I use an older "bold" logo unit that I found at GC (kinda in a back room), and it's the BEST one (when comparing to EVH's sound) that I've ever played.

One thing for sure, I've tried out many MXR Phase 90 over the years, and they ARE all different, even the same ones!!!

I'd really check out each individual pedal.:)

well i had a heater hooked up to an outlet in my room and we kept having the power go out in our basement (minnesota winters + cold room = cold feet and i dont like that), and it happened about 3 times that day and finally my father forgot he had put in a ground fault. I believe that it was caused by the surge of the power coming back on that doomed it.

ORANGE-A.jpg

I can't seem to find any info on these pedals, but the Noah's Ark Orange-A Phaser is a pretty good one for the price...

I would by the same pedal again (great phaser) and a good power bar that has surge protection. If you have the money, Monster makes a great line for musical instruments.

I passed on the EVH model & ordered a "Custom Shop Script Phase 90", only to open it up & see "EVH" on the circuit board

I guess the script reissue & the EVH are pretty much the same pedal. I still prefer the old school orange, though. :D

Personally I don't like the graphics on the EVH model. I'd probably get the standard Phase 90 and mod it as many do. The BYOC (build your own clone) phaser gets great reviews too.

(Luckily I held onto my original 70s script logo Phase 90. Beaten to hell, but still works like a charm. Added a better footswitch and true bypass.)
