Hi Lenny,

I love your pedals. I am interested in gathering some boutique pedals for a board of my own.

Can you please tell me where I should go to learn about the various offerings and perhaps some reviews? Thanks...

Sure tonefactor .com has a great selection pricing and a WICKED forum just like here...lots of info there...and i went boutique because i had EVER brand and effect on the market and these were just alot nicer ...tone wise and to look at ..right around 7000$ sitting there including the board and flightcase power supply and a combination of Lava cable and George L's for connections.

Interesting, I went the opposite direction.... buying old pedals off e-bay, some broken, and fixing them up and making all my connecting cables from old guitar cords. I even have a couple plastic Dano pedals. :)

QUOTE="Roubster"]Andy, I see you got a whole collection of Suhr pedals there! They are amazing! I got the Riot few weeks ago and absolutely love the tone. I also love the Shiba as well as the Koko. John does some fantastic work over there. I hear he is working in a Chorus that will knock out everything else out there, and also something about a "megariot" :D.

Yes they are really great pedals which cover a whole spectrum of sounds. I like the way they sound with my amps and guitars. The only thing they lack is fuzz; the effect I use least as it happens. I will be adding a Foxrox Hot Silicon to deal with that area asap, which if you have not heard or tried, is awesome for the Hendrix vibe. Actually tbh, I mainly use the drive from my Triaxis/ 2:90 and these effects are the fairy dust.

I have been waiting with anticipation for the 'Bella Chorus' and I will invest when it finally makes an appearance, but the Providence Anadime Chorus is luring me since I tried it recently. I also would really really like the discontinued Foxrox Paradox Flanger but I stand little chance of getting one.

As stated its easy to tie up alot of money quickly in boutique pedals and actually I would rather put my money into Musicman guitars. I can live easily without effects, but not without my Lukes! Which reminds me...it's nearly June...True Gold baby! (Still doesn't stop me drooling over that yellow memory lane though!!!)

Thats why I love these threads. I'd never heard of VFE pedals before. Just been to the website to check them out after seeing this cool board. Learn something new every day! :)

We should get a separate sticky thread for demos of gear all the knuckleheads run their Balls through. I think That would be really awesome.

VFE - is a hand made pedal out of washington (i believe) and they are by far the most responsive pedals i've ever used... just incredible

Nice! Hey Peter - how about a review on that Alpha Dog? Please??

Maybe i should leave it as simple as my buddies response after he checked it out...

BRO... my mind was blown with the vast tones this thing can produce... And then you switched it to Germanium... HOLY COW MAN!!! WHERE DID YOU GET IT!!!???

i will say that the VFE is like no other pedal i've used... it's probably the most versatile pedal with the vast array of available tones. It does a great repro of something similar to a RAT... but better... I was actually able to get some tones very similar to the Aint Talkin Bout Love/Erruption type tones when i added in my delay and trem... and for one pedal to get close to that "BROWN SOUND" is in my opinion a keeper... but it cleans up really well and then the Germanium side is just mind blowing... i have it set to the germanium side right now...
I've thought about picking up another VFE Dirt Pedal or OD and selling my Catalinbread SCOD... i'm a big fan of the VFE stuff right now... the added FAT pot at the top really is a nice touch... one thing i really like about the VFE is the "quiet" switch... there's no "click" to engage or disengage the pedal just a very light touch and the pedals on... you can't bump it and it goes off but it takes no effort to tap it on... just a nice touch
