For so long I have been cursed with just a little 25W practice amp. Fine for at-home practice, but not much else. I needed a real amp.
Well, I broke down about a month ago and placed an order at the local music store. Finally the last piece came in yesterday. Today I just had a short 1-hour practice. It sounds fantastic.
I am now the proud owner of a MarkBass SA450, and a Bergantino HS210.
They sound fantastic. Granted, I have only had about an hour to play through the combo, and at a rushed band practice, but so far I am very impressed with the sound.
So this week I received my first (real) amp. Next week my first real amp will be used on my first real gig! One of my corporate overlords caught wind of the fact that some of us at work have jam sessions. We have been "volunteered" to play at our corporate summer picnic. The MarkBass and Bergantino, along with my 30th Stingray and Desert Gold Bongo 5 HH are going to be holding down the low-end in front of 300 or so people.
I need to practice.
