Very small things, like the ability to mute to tune (a feature lacking on the MB), became very obvious during the set.

Congrats on your maiden voyage. Love the story and pics. I know it's a pain, but if you go from the tuner out of the Markbass to an electronic tuner and turn the master volume down with the gain still up, you still get a signal to tune silently. Else something like the Boss TU-2 has a mute when tuning function FWIW.

Yeah. The first thing I did once I got home was rethink my tuner pedal placement. I currently have a Planet Waves tuner pedal. Looks great, but a little noisy. Silent switching though. Previously I had it in bypass, so I could always see my tuning. I have now moved it to the front of the chain and am using it as a mute-to-tune pedal.

I have also ordered a Korg DTR-2000, and a gator 4U rack, so that might change some routing some more.

That's perfect! I have the same Korg and go from the output in the back into the front input with a right angle cable through the rack ears of my LMII that has a gap. And I use the mute switch on the Korg. With the Markbass stuff, you can get away with a Gator shallow rack (lighter).
