If you liked the sound of the Ampeg, I recommend you give the Aguilar AG500, or AG500SC a try. I loved the way mine sounded when I had it--I just liked the Mesa Walkabout more. If I felt I needed the full 500 watts for headroom, I would have certainly kept the Aggie, though...

He got what you sent him - I talked to him on the phone early in the evening.

His ability to remember what gifts came from which person apparently faded as the night wore on.

Can't imagine how that happens.....

Well, as long as he doesn't get back online with, "Oh, yeah. That? That one sucks."

It's all good.

I mean, the one I sent has Tom Waits reading Bukowski poetry. That has to be worth something...

Oh you're right...I got the Bukowski movie from you. Lowell sent me the Nick Cave DVD...two of my favorite people...Charles Bukowski and Nick Cave!

I watched the Buk DVD two nights ago and watched the Nick Cave last night...gotem mixed up.

Very interesting Bukowski documentary...It showed a different side of Hank that I was unaware of.

Tom Waits reading Bukowski is about as good as it gets in my book...unless there's a DVD of Leonard Cohen playing Beatles tunes on a tuba that I'm unaware of.

I hear that MarkBass stuff is pretty light. Too bad it isn't available in the US yet *nudge, nudge* ;) ;)

The stuff is very light, played through a 210combo w/ 15 extension, it was nice. Lifted a 410, very light.

Honestly, the amp is nice, but I've heard better. Stick with the EA

Since you brought it up, how do you pronounce whore?

I've always pronounced it hoar (like boar) but some people pronounce it like hoo-er. The first time I heard someone pronounce it the second way, they were from New York. I thought it sounded way too nice that way.
