Just wondering if anyone here only plays bass? I play a little guitar, and drums, but not enough to say I really "play".

Play a guitar when I feel like it which isn't often any more since I love playing the bass. Play trumpet, baritone and harmonica when I feel like it which is once in awhile.

The rest of the time I play the radio. :D

I play guitar and drums well enough to call myself a guitarist or a drummer... But I don't call myself either. :p

I am the bassist.

The bass is what I feel most connected with and the only instrument that I make any effort to continually improve at.

Bass is it for me. I had a few months of piano and guitar lessons as a kid, but bass is the only thing I've stuck with (it's been five or six years now). I don't practice enough as is, so the last thing I need is to divide my limited attention span among different instruments. I admire those who play multiple instruments, but I've no desire to join them.

my guitar skills are probably better than my bass skills.. I play the spoons too, those skills are also probably better than my bass skills.. I'm also pretty good at beatboxing and clapping... if those count :)

...now that i look back at my bass skills, i'm pretty terrible.

I tinker with the drums and 6 string geeetar.

Im a jack of all trades really, but a master of none.

I do however, spend most of my time making noise on bass.

I used to play a lot of tuba, but bass has become my primary instrument-I feel like I connect with it a lot better, and it's a lot less cumbersome. ;)

I used to play piano and flute and even bassoon waaaaay back in the day, but piano not really practical to carry on in a top floor flat... and I didn't want to leave my music behind... I'd always wanted to learn bass and with a hubby who is a guitarist it seemed like the perfect choice! :D

I don't even play bass:p
But anyway, I have some acoutsic and electric guitars, and when I'm the first one at rehersals I like to mess with the drums too.

I think my main talent is working a mackie live mixer on stage...

I made my living playing piano and sax for over thirty years. I stopped touring to come home and raise my kids, I always wanted a bass so I bought one in Oct of 04. Been having a blast with bass guitar ever since, the cure for my mid-life crisis. :D
