Congrats on the Markbass combo! ( The GK is in trouble! )

Nah, still love the GK and it is perfect for my main band (loud enough that they don't run me in the PA, just the monitors) and it fills the room nicely. Everywhere else though... :D

I'll tell you the nice thing about the MB is that I can take it to practice, take it down the stairs and not have to worry about breaking my back or falling... that right there was worth the price.

the sound is pretty swet too!

That it is... funny thing is I have a little Fndr Sidekick (which my daughter uses now) that is about 1/16 the power, only about 5-10 lbs lighter AND doesn't sound anywhere close to as good.

BP you are truly a visionary when it comes to matters like this!

Just to answer the emails I've gotten at once:
1) Yes that is a Daisy Rock (my 4 year olds). I got a GREAT deal on it and of the cash it isn't half bad (my Guild Ashbory is in the small black case behind it)

2) the amp under the brown cover is a 60's Magnatone - nice little tube amp that belonged to my Mom (as, now get this, an acordian amp) - it actually was my first bass amp, now it just gets babied. Sounds pretty good for bass but my old guitar players love it.

The only problem with using an iPod like this, is that it does not single play. By this, I mean when it gets to the end of the track, its starts playing the next one automatically. I do the odd cheesy party disco, and its a nightmare if you forget to fade the track.

I think you put your reply in the wrong thread buddy. :p Just wanted to give ya a heads up.
