Nice rig, oddjob!

I'm making the crossover (back, actually) to GK equipment myself.

Just got back from San Jose with a 700RB that has been 'bored-out' to 540w @ 4ohms. $250.

I've still got the 115BLX-II and 210BLX-II cabs, and I've just ordered a 410BLX-II cab.

I'm going to pair the 210 and 410 together with the 700RB for the drive, and A-B-Y (LoopMaster) that rig to my Ampeg B2R with the SVT-15EN and 115BLX-II cabs for the low-end.

For Bay Area bars, this should be plenty of power.

Pic's on a new thread as soon as the 410 shows up. :D
$250... now that is a nice find!!!! I want picture of Frankenstein's rig when you get it up and running (should have a nice blend of sound to it).

I think I have more power than I will ever need. It was just that on New Years I had to stand right next to my old 450 watt rig and still couldn't hear myself... a 700 or a 1001 probably would have done the job but I love having the extra head room (and the wife said "go get what you want and hurry before I change my mind" - how can I argue with and chance like that??? Speaking of which I have noticed that a BUNCH of forum wives are VERY supportive and VERY awesome!!! I mean my old drummer got in trouble because he went a bought a replacement for a torn snare head - what's up with that???)

Low Mids- 1 o'clock Presence- off

Wow Randy. Those are about my EXACT settings I favored on my 1001.

Jack,I believe that 1200S is 1200 watts @ 2ohms......

I'm no math genius, but help me out here. Two 4 ohm cabs equals....what.

Seriously, you guys seem to be happy with those rigs. What could be better than that?

Well if you're running 4 ohm cabs then you got your 1200 watts:) Otherwise you'd need 4 8ohm cabs to draw all the juice outta that puppy......That 1200S runs alright down to 2 ohms then? I've had bad luck in the past with SWR amps that said they could run at 2 but repeatedly overheated and shut down.........:(
