hey kids!

Well its official, me and the missus are buying our first home!

The mortgage has been accepted, the solicitors are soliciting, all we've got to do is wait a few weeks and we're in!

Its a tiny little terraced house in a cosy cul-de-sac but is absolutely gorgeous inside. The best thing about it... I get my own room!!!!

Downstairs has 2 reception rooms (as anyone whos been in a terrace will know) and my gorgeous missus keeps referring to the front one as "your room"

cue wallhanging basses, a permanent home for my Ampeg 8x10 and home studio kit! :D woooo!!!!

i've got an antique persian rug lined up, lots of kitch furniture and a guinness fridge to store my creative food.. hehe

its nice and cheap really and means I don't have to stop GAS'ing got my fretless and 5HH... my gran recently passed away and she left me £250 (she was great)

what better way to remember her than using it to buy a bass I will love and care for for the rest of my life.. my 4 H was 2nd hand.. i want a new one this time and I'm calling it Winnifred.. god bless you nan!

just thought I'd share with you guys because quite plainly..... you rule!

Awesome. My folks just bought a house in December. It's nice and fairly large. :)

Too bad I'm moving out in the fall to go to college.

It sure is a stressful time though! In between stressing about all the usual stuff (mortgage etc) I went and caused a massive barney with the other half at the weekend! Yikes im bricking myself!

Welcome to the club! We just got our first house in January. I have to go and buy a lawnmower tomorrow. You'll buy things you never knew existed.

I also get to buy wall hangers for my basses and pick a color for my Man Cave.

Um. Just to clarify, I knew lawnmowers existed before I bought a house. :D

Congrats.

Coincidentally, I just got "the call" from my realtor...my offer was accepted. I thought I made a good living, but this house is gonna suck me dry. My living expenses are about to double....and then some.

Better than renting?

Only in the long run. It's gonna suck for a few years.

It'll suck for about 8 months... You will immediately appreciate "owning vs. renting" come tax-time next year! :)

My mortgage keeps me living pretty lean, but I also have a room in the basement that I can sneak off too and revel in bass gear glory!

Its nice to have a little spot to leave gear set up and just flick on the amp and pick up a bass whenever there is a chance.

I should be in there now!!!! haha
