hehe Phil
i've ordered a petrucci JP6 a week ago, should be here next week (hopefully) and gonna install it in that since i'm not a heavy trem addict it would be good for me.
and i also love them blues bands

Nice, I should be getting mine either next week or the week after hopefully. I got mine fully-loaded in mystic dream. What color did you go for?

Good choice. Pearl Redburst is nice. Very subtle. If you got the piezo you're in for a treat. I love the way the piezo sounds on the JP. Just another thing that makes the guitar insanely versatile.

yeah, that guitar is kinda worthless for me without the piezo, because I have all kinds of other guitars for metal, this one is a different beast with the piezo in it though.

well, from what i udnerstand the clamp type is an older model, but anyways, you need an EBMM adapter which is sold in the same package but from universaljem.com (direct link from Tremol-No™). cost is the same, 65$.

I would say get the pin type. Thats what I got for my JP. With the pin type, you don't need the EBMM adapter like you do on the clamp model.
