OT: Ladies and Gentleman, Big News

Last night I earned the Eagle Scout award. Just thought I'd share.

OTOH - Being a Brit in Holland I don't quite kow what the award is except that its a top scouting award.

It's big stuff. Out of the hundreds of thousands of boys that start scouts only 2% actually earn that award. I started scouts at the lowest level when I was 5 or 6 and I turn 18 in three days. I've been working on this a while to say the least.

Congratulations! I was also a scout. For me it was mostly an excuse to hang out with my friends on Wednesday nights and skate after the scout meeting was over.I don't even remember how far I got but I had some good times also

Congratulations! I don't know what it means or what you had to do to earn, but hey!
I'm also a member of the scouts, since I was 6 and this is my last year (I'm now 21), which means I've been a 'leader' for several years now (my fourth this year, to be exactly). It is really cool, especially when you're a leader! Luckily the kids don't know what we do when they go to sleep (they probably think the same of us)

Based on all the bad press over the past decade about some of the people who become scout leaders, I say any boy scout who makes it out with a tight sphincter definitely deserves a badge
