I've got a Sabine rack tuner that works well, but I really want to try the new Peterson Strobo-Rack. You can actually program it for banner messages. I may get the floor version for home.
I used to have a Korg 1000 rack mount unit, but when I de-racked and went to lunchbox size bass amps (LMII and Acoustic Image F1) I switched to a Boss TU-2.
I have the Korg DTR-2000 in a rack with my MarkBass SA-450. Very nice tuner.
Con: It does not come with a foot pedal.
Pro: Hooking up two latching footpedals lets you mute the signal (and still tune). The second footpedal lets you do an A/B channel switch, best used for alternating between two instruments. Note, both switches are also pushbuttons on the faceplate.
The Korg is very accurate (+/- 1% i believe) and fairly responsive. The big display really lets you fine-tune your tuning. Perhaps too much, since it will indicate even the slightest out-of tuneage. Even if you can't hear it. You can drive yourself nuts trying to get your instrument perfectly tuned.
I use a Boss TU-15 around the house and out of the case (i.e. studio rehearsal). It's an excellent tuner and offers a bunch of optional tunings especially for the guitar player.
Racked I have a Sabine RT-7000. I like, but I have had trouble reading the display in the sun (outdoor gigs) so I may look to swap out in the future.
Have a TU-15 and a Strobo Stomp - love them both. If you look around you can probably find a Stobo Stomp I cheap since the II's are out. I actually found mine at GC in a clearence bin for 50% off (brought it down to roughly 90 ). It is touchy and a bit harder to get used to but once you do it is very accurate.
I have a Boss TU-2 pedal that is great because it is easily seen on stage in low light conditions and it is very accurate and intuitive. It is very rugged and can stand considerable abuse.
