Chewie man thanx!!! I have a spare PC hanging around I've been thinking about making a Linux machine out of it.

plus once MS doesn't support WinBlows SuXP, I'm switching to 100% Linux on every machine, down with the man!!!

My current favorite is Ubuntu. Fedora is cool. I like Suse too. Personally I think Ubuntu is the current most user friendly distribution of Linux. Google seems to prefer Ubuntu these days too. I swear every time I use google and include "linux" in my search 8 out of 10 results will be specific to the Ubuntu flavor. It's almost like Ubuntu is synonymous with Linux now. Back in the day results favored Red Hat. I think it's easier to run Ubuntu because it's easier to get results in google when you need help.

Chewie, my buddy at works been using Ubuntu since it first came out. He switched a few reves back because he was having all kinds of problems. I think he's using some varient of Ubuntu, I'll have to check on Friday, I'm off on Thursday. :)

My wifes uncle likes Suse, one of these days I'll have enough time to get this other machine online and load one of them.

Thanx, Glenn |B)

soon you may have to pay for Linux, they are apparently violating over 250 MS patents...

Microsoft wants their dough.

being a mac user, i could care less, but there ya go!

It's F.U.D. (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt)
Microsoft's favorite kind of marketing. Make Windows sell better by scaring potential Linux and Apple customers with bold face lies and propaganda.

Linux community and founder has basically told MS to put up or shut up. MS won't though because it will only get them in trouble over all the patents they have stolen.

It's all about to be moot anyways. Once GPL 3 comes out and someone redeems a MS-Novell coupon all Linux users will forever be free from future MS bullying. At least that's the current consensus. One can hope.
