Isabel Jane (my daughter now 4months) just had her second round of immunisations this morning. Big needle...tiny thigh....a lot of crying but she's a trooper.

Try a little slap bass as a soother - it worked this morning.

Yeah, I was originally going to take 2 weeks off, but then I decided to take those 2 weeks at the end of my wife's maternity leave. That way she can have a relatively easy transition back to work, and we won't have to leave Victoria at "day care" (her great-grandparents' house) for another couple of weeks.

That would be nice! But all I passed around were candies with personalized stickers on them announcing the birth. For our first daughter, I passed out guitar picks with her info on them. I thought it was a pretty good idea!
