Good luck Ritchie! Hey, it's a necessary evil, and well worth the money and discomfort. Salt water rinses are your friend!

Well folks, I just shelled out close to $10,000.......

And on Friday morning at 11:30, I begin the first steps toward a complete new set of teeth, a rebuilt lower jaw, and a partially rebuilt maxilla (upper jaw).........

Not to mention muscle repairs to my lower lip.... :(

I am bloody terrified!!

Any words of encouragement would be appreciated. :)

All the best,

Ritchie

I have a good friend who is a cosmetic dentist and another who deals in complicated facial surgery. The end results usually always justify the means. Most patients are more comfortable after the surgery than they were prior to the event. I know the anticipation sucks, but hang in there, the end is worth it.

Best of luck!

No The Guy was escorted Out, No one got any Names, we Had a 10 Minute Pause I finished the Show then went to the Hospital, The Venue's insurance deductable was $25K, So i Just said screw it, l'll Pay for I needed it to be right, So from that time on, it's been a Crown CM 311 Headset, which Sounded better then any Beta we we're using anyway.

No more Mic Stands, those days are gone, lol

Thanks!!

Thanks for all the encouraging words everyone! I don't know of any other community, especially a community of musicians, who would be so supportive.

This is something that I have put off for a while now. But it has gotten to where I can no longer ignore it. The pain is, at times, unbearable. Saturday night in Dallas, I had to cut out early because of it.

Fear of surgery and dentists is a major factor here. But I am tired of the pain and the embarrassment that I have put up with for years. So, time to take the plunge. Get it all sorted out and maybe by the time NAMM rolls around, I'll have that $10,000 smile.....

Hmmmm.......possible band name: Ritchie Darling & The $10,000 Smile

Nah, it sounds like one of those ABC after school specials! :D

Thanks again, you all rock!!

Ritchie

Just dont let them talk you into making the new chompers whiter than white. I call them metrosexual white teeth.

Yeah, they showed me some samples on Monday. They were frightening!

There were ten or so on one card. It looked like an Osmond family reunion!

Good vibes from the mountains of Virginia, a little cold, but good vibes none the less!

I have to go for my 6 month checkup monday morning, I've already started drinking!

And since I'm paying them to clean my teeth I'm going to eat Oreo's in the waiting room.

Oreos, I'll have to try that. A liverwurst with onions sandwich, followed by a cigar on the way to the dentist might be a nice touch too...
