Ok, where were your minds. Yeah, I was at GC and I had been trying to get my hands on a MarkBass Traveler 151 (1x15) - Got word from up the GC chain that that wouldn't happen anytime soon AND I just happened to be walking by a MarkBass Traveler 102 (2x10) ... and so my GC card is doing a bit of burning right now. If I don't stop buying stuff the wife will knock my eyes right out of my head... it is a really nice add to the MB 2x10 combo - and VERY loud. Must stop! Must Stop!

(if anything, I blame Sterling;) - he said it was better to ask forgiveness than permission)

It slams - It is about as clear and defined as it gets. It's strange, I sometimes miss my old gear (the TNT150, SM400 and Triad, AH500, and a few others) but I am real happy with the set up - GK for larger shows, and MB everywhere else. It is soooooooo cool that I can carry a complete rig in 2 hands without any strain.

I am lucky so far, my 4 year old ratted me out and the wife just rolled her eyes and huffed at me... I think I'm safe for the moment.

I've had slight disagreements (with bassists I trust and respect) about Markbass gear, but I've been living and playing with mine since November and I know what I want and I know it gives it to me.

Ritch, just tell your wife that sometimes cabinets can reproduce themselves, like paramecium or something.

I jumped on the MarkBass Bandwagon yesterday. I picked up a Little Mark II. Holy schnikies! I cant believe something so small puts out so much!! (I am talking about bass amps!!) Seriously though...what amazing tone and volume! It will be nice carrying a 6 lbs amp head instead of an 80 pound behemoth!

I agree Ritch.....good stuff!

Don't know what model it was, but they had a little 10" combo at the Peoria Guitar Center for $550 used when I was in there on Friday.

Seemed like a good price compared to the list on the new one next to it.

Really depends on your needs, Alz. The power handling is outrageous. The little 1x12 combo is 300 watts by itself and can expland to 500... and it sounds like it too. Do you want components or combo. Is size an issue? 4 sting, 5 or 6 (the 1x12 will work with all but sounds best with the 4)?

Jack has a killer setup - LittleMark and 2 2x10s - it is about the same as mine combo 2x10 (with a LM head built in) and a 2x10 expansion. A 1x15 would give you some depth (2 extra 2x10s hold together very tightly) - I think a 4x10 cab would blow someone's shoes off.

For me, it was about weight. My GK rig is very nice (I still love it) but the 2001RB is heavy, esp in a rack. I can carry the combo and extension, together, and it is just a bit heavier than my rack alone.

So what is it you are looking for?

Wow, great info Ritch.....

All I can say is that components seem favourable because it reduces the individual weight, 5 string nearly always live, and it's got to be LOUD!:D
