Well some of you will remember the threads from a couple months back. My Dad had a bad heart attack, which was his third heart attack.

Last week he had surgery to get a pacemaker, and is out of the hospital and doing well. His heart was damaged badly from the last heart attack and was at 15% usage. Hes only been to one therapy session and his heart usage is now at 25%. They expect him to get up to 60% by the end of his therapy.

Just wanted to give this follow up and again thank those of you for letting me vent throughout this time. Its been tough. Im thankful that Dad is still here, and that weve had a lot of time to spend hanging out over the last couple months.

Hes one of my best friends, and is the reason Im playing bass today.

Great news Travis. I lost my Dad when I was twenty-one and still miss him a great deal. You're so right to regard your Dad as a friend as well as a father. My sons are now old enough to be adult friends and I enjoy the relationship immensely especially as they are both musicians. All the best to you, your Dad, and your family.

Great news. People do get better...my dad is living proof. 2 heart attacks-1 open heart-2 removed anuerisms (I kneed a spiel cheq)... and he's ornery as ever. Hope your dad keeps improving.
