Had little bit of a scare tonight when my 5 year old son came to me crying because he had swallowed a marble and it was stuck in his throat.I gave him a few good smacks on the back which i'm pretty sure sent it on it's way down to his intestinal tract. I then took him straight to the hospital where there did and x-ray and sure enough the marble was right there. It looked like a big hole on the x-ray because of it being made of nickel. It was pretty far down already so it has no chance of coming back up but it will be coming out.......probably in a few days. The poor little guy insisted he didn't try to swallow it and said it just kind of fell into his mouth:p

Randy that there is one cute kid! He'll be alright and I bet this ain't going to be the first time he scares the hell out of you. Cherish every minute you have with your kids, in no time they go off to college.

I'm glad you had him checked out with the doc's.

Randy...first off, glad your son is okay. Kids are soooo much fun and can scare the hell out of you. I know I scared my mom and dad in my younger days....:D

Wow - glad to hear he's OK. Being a parent is both the most rewarding and most frightening experience I ever imagined.

Story will surely make for some laughs in the years to come. "It just sorta fell in my mouth!" :D

Randy,

Glad your son is OK. Good luck with the fun of verifying that it came out. :D

Reminds me that I ought to renew my CPR certification..

Whoa man! I know that routine all too well. After that kind of a scare, the checking to make sure everything comes out all right (so to speak) doesn't seem so bad. Glad it all worked out OK.

Glad it turned out well. My scariest kid moment was when our son was 6 mos old he had one doozy of a fever. In the midst of trying to get some cool liquids in him he had a 10 second seizure, a febrile seizure, not uncommon for kids his age with fevers. He checked out fine in the ER but it was scarry as hell.
