Ok, so my connection came through and I got a pass. Now i'm wondering which day I should go? I'm pretty sure I can only get a kitchen pass(from the wife) for one day/night.In the past i've always gone the first day of the show but this year i'm thinking mabye Friday or Saturday so I can catch some of the live performances. So to all of you who have experienced all 4 days of NAMM what is the best day to go?

With all due respect, don't listen to Beth...she's not out walking around the floor Saturday...she's parked at the EBMM booth watching the parade go by...Saturday is a zoo. It's the day alot of the celebs come in to sign autographs at booths and such and genrally is the day I go to Disneyland in the afternoon or something. Forget about any opportunity to actually sit down and try any gear on Sat or get a $5.00 hot dog in less than an hour. It's a mob scene.

I guess it depends on what you want out of your NAMM experience...if you want to stand in line for 2 hours to get Fieldy to sign an 8x10 golssy or something then that's the day!!

If you can't spend all four days there and this is your first time I suggest Friday as the best day. The show is in full swing (not always the case on Thursday at every booth) and there is not such a big crowd as on Saturday. Wear comfotable shoes, a few bottle of water, a digital camera and a few Sharpies and get there at the opening bell at 10:00 am ands plan on dragging it home around midnight.

Then, spend Saturday with the wife...take her out for a nice dinner then see if she'll let you sneak back for a few hours on Sunday.

I agree with Steve, I was at NAMM last year for the first time.

Thursday was great because the crowds are much smaller. All the booths may not be at 100%, but you know that EB will be up and running. There is a noticeable increase in the crowds by Friday, but still much better than Saturday. If you mainly want to have time to check things out, and actually have a chance to play with stuff, Thursday and Friday are really your only chance. By Saturday, the crowds are so big it's tough just walking through the aisles - almost shoulder to shoulder at some points.

Do you already have your physical badge, or will you need to check in at Will Call to get it? If you don't have it already, I highly suggest getting there as early as possible to be one of the first in line. The line gets very long, very quickly and at times they were even restricting access downstairs to the Will Call window.

Have fun, wish I could be there!

Nope...they keep that info very secret. I say they'll all be wearing denim overalls and leather pork pie hats.

The fact that I know what this refers to means that I'm spending too much time online, and I'm not reading enough books.
