Recorded that today. My band added a different guitarist recently and we needed to record something to get out to this local venue to get gigs in the future and stuff.

I know lots of people like different things. We play, different music. Not sure how to describe it. If you've got an open mind, give it a listen and lemme know what you think.

honestly, I thought the vocals were really bad. The rest of the band.. drums, guitar and bass all fit togeather really well. And I like indie rock, modest mouse or whichever.

But I think articulating the vocals a little more would help out a lot.

Fun song; reminds me some of Fishbone and old RATM.
Bass sounds nice, real nice.
I like the singing, except it sounds like he´s singing through a guitar amp or sonething? Bullet mic maybe?
Dunno, but anyway it sounds like you'd be fun to see live!

Figgy. You know I are a stright shooter, so get ready.

The vocals could really use some polishing. Really. Thats my only beef.

You and the drummer seem to have a very good chemistry, and are the best part of what I just heard. If I had to guess, Id assume that you and the drummer had known, or played together for a while. I may be wrong.

As far as just you. Impressive. Feel is good. Chops are good. Tone is good, and FITS the style of music. Not that Im much older than you at 22, but it seems for your age, you have a great grasp on the bass, and its role. Its refreshing to hear someone your age that isnt trying to be a 100% wanker.

So with all honesty, I say youre doing a great job bro. Keep on rockin, and a big +1 goes out to the Figster.

And Randy, Id say that is series. Seems to have that extra bit of grunt to it.

Yup series, with actually some really old strings (January i put em on). EQ i actualy have the mids cut, which i never do.

Its cool to see that the main strife is the vocals. Thats a given. This was a VERY rough recording for the vocals. We actually DID record them through a guitar amp. Why? We were bored, felt like putting some chorus on at times. Heh.

As far as the band in general goes, recordings arent our specialty. We are much better live, which is probably easy to tell. Its hard to capture the sound and energy in a recording.

Thanks for your time guys. Todays the big day for the bass :)

Its all good my man :) The vocal part of our band isnt our strong point, its basically just to filll the gap. We were instrumental for a LONG time.

Appreciate the comments on the bass tone and stuff. The way we record is relatively ghetto so the way it comes out sometimes surprises us. The unfortuate thing with the guitar tone is that we recorded it with a 30 watt combo, because his larger 2x12 was being repaired. Guess what showed up 10 minutes affter we finished recoridng? Yeah, his new amp.

Overal its not a bad recording for 3 mics and a mixer in my basement.
