Ok. I've got 2 Fernandes basses that I had intentions of selling but it was mainly to have the cash to buy a new rig. Well, I've already gotten a new rig and still have both of them on my hands. Now here's the thing. I still want to sell one to help out my funds for a HSC StingRay 5. The main reason I like the other Fernandes is because it's absolutely beautiful! Although, the pickups on it have gotten very weak over the years seeing as how it's a 96 model. Now, I could swap the pickups in both Fernandes beacuse the one i'm trying to sell has very hot pups. Or, I could just go out and buy new ones. I'm not sure what I want to do. Just looking for a little advice from anyone. Thanks!

At least you'll get a lot of opinions, and you can be sure that people will name just about every pick up brand there is, claiming their suggestion is the best.
Right now passive Aero pick ups seem to be very popular, but next month it might be something else...

I swear by DiMarzio Ultra J's. Great sounding jazz pups and lots of wiring options to get different sounds.

I like the older Dimarzio Model Js, with the adjustable pole pieces. I've found the Ultra Jazz to be unbalanced (the pole pieces are not stagered, and there is no way to adjust them); still a nice sounding pickup.

SD/Basslines are my fave, but realize I aim for the 60s J tone (if that's what ya want).

I've got a set of Antiquity IIs in my fretted and a set of Vintage Jazz in my fretless...

I swore I wouldn't go back to TalkBass. I hate that place. Thanks for the advice guys. This bass has an active 2 band preamp. With that said, anything come to mind?

Ok, since it's for a good cause (you not having to go back to TB) I'll chip in too. My favorites are Lundgren from Sweden, but if you want something that can be bought anywhere I suggest EMG or Bart 9cbjs.
