Well, Im still loving my MarkBass Little Mark II after using it for close to two months now. What a GREAT amp.

I was very much in love with my Bergantino HT322, but I have a pinched nerve in my back and its really getting annoying. So I decided it was time to off the Berg HT322 and get two smaller cabs so I didnt have to lug a heavy cab to gigs that only require one cab.

I got a Bergantino HT112 and will be getting another, or an EX112 after the holidays.

Ive had this setup for over a week, but wanted to get a gig or two on it before I posted my thoughts.

First off, I was not blown away by the volume of the HT112 while practicing in my room. I know its only a 1x12, but from what Ive read, my initial observations were a little less than my research led me to expect. HOWEVER, once I got this rig out of my bedroom for a couple gigs I was VERY impressed with everything the HT112 has to offer. Its such a great sounding cab, and with the Little Mark II I can really get about any tone that I need. After a couple gigs I cant believe that this rig pushing only 300 watts @ 8 ohms is capable of being too loud.

Ive owned a number of Bergantino cabs, and they are all great IMO. Ive had an HT210S, an HT210, an HT115, and HT322, and an NV610. Out of all those cabs, its the HT112 that works the best for me tonally. I love this setup and cant wait to hear what itll dish out with another HT112 or EX112.

Also not that this whole rig weighs in at around 45 pounds. Roughly half of what my Bergantino HT322 weighed.

Thanks to Brian at The LowEnd for the good deal and FAST shipping on this.

Hey Trav, I have to come over and play that THEN we need to head to a hockey game? Why is this required before the game? Well, you tell me, you think we'll see another game like last time in a while??? :D

I saw the title of this thread and thought, "why doesn't this surprise me? new rig for Trav? Not in a million years..." ;)

But seriously, great mini-rig - people need to stop fuelling my amp GAS! And I'm glad you're still in love with the Little Mark - that bodes well for the rest of us if you still like it - it MUST be good! :D

how's an open B string sound through that 12?
Sadly, my eden 12 seriously loses volume and punch below the D on the B string.
dat's why I luv sum 15s

Those Berg 12 cabs are not your ordinary cabs. They handle...hell, they WANT the abuse. My rig is just a 2x10 and a 1x12 and it has never winced once when I hit that B string. You should know I play in a very rock'n blues trio so it takes a lot of pound'n every night.

Tried an SD800 and the bigger MB 4x10 at Guitar Center the other day - I have to say, those VLE and VPF knobs work like a charm. I didn't touch the EQ once, and that includes the SR5's onboard 3-band! Went through pick, slap and fingerstyle, with good response all around. For my purposes though, the Line 6 POD Live --> QSC PLX2 3102 --> Acme Low B2 Series II rig works.

For now.
