Not hear it yet Duck as I'm at work. Will listen as soon as I get home....

And don't worry about the 'too much info' bit. Get it off ya chest!

Hey Phatduckk, slap the crap out of your bass and let it all out. Slap it with love, though. It will forgive you. Sometime people let us down, but our basses will not. :)

Hey "bummin' me out" was a good thing.. it means that the music affected me in some way, which is the whole point, right?

It's those tracks that do absolutely nothing for ya that we could all live without.

Rock on, and roll with the punches.

Sorry I'm gettin this late Phatduckk but I have a
song I like to live by "Fear Strikes Out" and/or
if I'm lucky "Let's Spend The Day In Bed".
(Hope you were lucky)

Also vocally challenged:

"Paris" & "LSTDIB" are ordinary but better "bass" songs . . .
All three done w/my Sterling

OK, since we're going there, check out three of the cuts off of my band's upcoming CD. www.audiostreet.net/farcry. The cover art and such is just about finished and there will be 10 songs on the CD. BTW, I used my SR4 on "Hurricane" and "My Way". I used another brand on "I Don't Know" because I didn't have my SR5 at that time.

well things went as bad as possible ...

Phatt...

Man, I've been there and moved on and eventually found even better things.
You will, too.

In the meantime, harness the emotions and use 'em to write some good material. My band has a song whose chorus takes a retrospective on such a situation and proclaims:

"You know that I tried to love you,
But you never gave me a chance
And now that I'm high above you,
Baby, don't expect romance!"

from "Don't Expect Romance" (C) 1997 Lost Frontier

Mobay,

Wow, that "I Don't Know" track really rocks. I love it. Great job.

You should post a link in the sticky thread that Jongitarz froze for us in the "general music discussion" forum.

Consider yourself on the other side of it, Duck.

It's hard but move on & use it as an experience to channel your music through.

Best wishes.

Thanks for the feedback. :) I didn't know that thread was there, but I'll check into it. I don't usually go anywhere but the bass forum here.

Mobay,

Yeah, it's the only sticky thread [at the moment] in the General forum. It's called "tunes thread". We use that to post links to our own tunes, so that the forumites can go have a listen.

You ought to venture outside the bass forum once in a while, we 6-string guys don't bite... hard. :D

Thanks for the guidance guys. I have now posted the link in the general discussion forum on the sticky. I will take some time this evening after I get home and listen to some of the other tracks on decent speakers. The speakers I have here at work are CRAP.
