OT: New (to me) amp!!

I just scored a Trace Elliot GP11 off of the bay! Ive been wanting another T.E. for a couple of years now since the one I had was destroyed. For what I got it for I can sell my SWR SM-900 on ebay and make my money back!!

Well I may be getting scared way too fast but it is business day 3 and Ive sent the seller an email requesting a tracking # and no reply. He has never sent any kind of message, the only thing Ive gotten is the ebay receipts. Also The more I look at the pic of the amp the more I think that the bottom right speaker is a replacement. It just doenst quite look like it matches the others so im probably gotta order a replacement for it. Its a little ruff around the edges but I just love Trace Elliot amps! I hope Im worried over nothing and I get it soon!!

The bottom right speaker looks nothing like the other 3. Hopefully she'll show up soon and you can get that new speaker.

actually.... but don't get freaked if I'm right 'cause it'll still sound good, from what I remember of old Trace stuff, the bottom right seems to be the only original one and the other 3 look like SWR/Eden style 10s with the larger dust cap and grey-ish cone.
but it still is a smokin' looking(and undoubtedly sounding) combo.

Apparantly according to what I gathered on talkbass, the older T.E. cabs (late 80's early 90's) had the smaller dustcaps while the newer cabs (early to mid 90's) had the larger ones. Who's to say? but I hope the 3 are original and I ownly have to buy the one speaker. Its gonna suck if its the other way around. The guy also messaged me today so now I know for sure its on its way so thats a relief.

I'm a proud Trace owner. I use an older rah 250 smx through Eden cabs. I think I bought it around '93-'94. It has been a workhorse, with no problems ever.

Well I got the amp today, it sounds good but that bottom speaker is blown and not even wired in which kind of angers me a little bit. I cant figure out if there all original or not. There all (I think) Trace Elliot speakers. Top left and rights serial numbers are either T3876 BT4, though Im not sure which group of characters go first due to the way they are stamped. The top and bottom right speakers numbers are T3876 BT1, again not knowing which group goes first.

Well my replacement speakers should be here tommorrow. Decided to go ahead and replace all four since the other 3 are close to 20 years old. British Audio service kicks butt!! Shane is the man he got me the direct replacements along with some valuable info about the amp. Ill post a pic with my sterling tommorrow. Im really happy with the amp as is with just 3 working speakers I already like it better than my old SWR stuff I cant imagine what its gonna sound like with new speakers.

Family pic with the amp in its restored glory. I know I knwo theres a F***** in the pic but I had to build a F***** just to get what I wanted out of one. The amp sounds totally awesome!!! Its amazing how much better it sounds now with new speakers!!!
