Well, I could "pay off" my Thunderbird in a fell swoop, but I'll still be "making payments" for a long time to come as a result of what is shaping up to be a painful restoration. I now know that I need to buy new front floorpans for both sides, thanks to a misplaced foot and some rusty metal. We still don't have it running, but that should happen soon, since the thing should start once I replace the fuel pump and install the gas tank-it just needs fuel!

My balance says $0.00. Where's my damn title!

Probably on the leinholders end Tom because I walked into the MVD yesterday to register the Mercedes and walked out with a plate and my title...I was floored. The AZ MVD has their poop together as compared to the CA DMV.

I was in and out in under 15 mins too! (on a Monday no less)

Not if they've let you regain your license due to a technicality! :D :D :D

The technicality was due to CA DMV's inefficency...I was right and have the paperwork on their letterhead to prove it...buncha dumbasses in Sacramento!!

I'll take Steve-o's word over a bureaucracy's any day.

I got weirded out when I signed for the truck because I expected a title with a lien. But then I found out the financing was in CA so they keep the title until paid for. Made me a bit nervous if the truck was stolen on trying to prove ownership. Once I get my title, no more worries. :) Feels good. :) Next up, school loans. :(

Look at the bright side Steve-o. The chances of your data being used over anothers is one in 26.5 million.
