I think he is planning on hooking up with Lowell (hippiesandwich) and sharing a hotel room, but if you are offering, I will give him a call and ask.

He is one good and funny and smart mofo.

Also, Lowell has a collection of boutique basses that you just wouldn't believe, really high end stuff, but guess what?

He bought a Bongo and loves it.

I do not rock! Don't say that! I am Caveman! I do not even understand diminished 12ths!

No, well, thank you. It isn't exactly a Dixie Dregs tune, but it IS fun.

I will also admit that the Tele is not only mine, I BUILT IT IN MY GARAGE. Yup, nitro finish and all, which I will never, ever do again. It also cost me considerably less money than the Gretsch cost Chris, the other guitar player.

(With his current look, the Tele playin' Brian constantly refers to him as "The Passion Of The Chris".)

Anyhoo, yes, flight is booked and if I recall correctly, Mr Oldtoe Ben and I will be arriving Friday around 3 pm.

i have a Mexican Tele and while the bastard was still alive i loved it! the poor things been thru a bunch of pickups and stuff's all rusted and screw holes are all loose so everything falls off :) but he was the first guitar i paid for myself so hes a keeper

i went thru a huge Stray Cats phase and love The Living End so ive always wanted a Gretsch. Couldnt ever justify the price tag so i got a cheapy Ibanez Hollowbody instead that refuses to stay in tune. You should check out The Living End ... homeboy can play. Kinda like the Stary Cats meet Green Day w/ an upright bassist ... pretty awesome !!!!

oh ya ... this is the bass forum so ill shut up ... (i like my new Les Paul too: the action is unbeleivable)

I can only say that IF you are going to have two bass players in your house, Ben and I are probably a good way to ease into letting bassists sleep over. We're clean, drink well and responsibly (IE, not prone to vomiting, go to bed before falling over), half of us do not smoke, and we are well-read.

Also, we are married and have small children, so we won't be dragging streetwalkers in late at night.

In any case, I'll let you know.

Made me gigle! :D

BTW: Video loaded-up in 5-6 seconds. Stream was clean - audio and video - no hiccups!

I stream video from my band's website in Real 10 format. I like it because it's not Microsoft, the file sizes are a lot smaller than with Windows Media and it's easy to embed the player and it's controls into the web page.

Real publish a number of useful production guides. More details here

I suppose the down side is that people have to install Real Player rather than it being a part of Windows although that is not a problem here as the BBC use Real for their web service.

Are You Ready, Boots? Start Walkin'

Brian is whispering, 'Play a sensitive bass intro' and I'm giggling and screw up whatever it is I had planned to do. Wait, I hadn't planned anything, so never mind.

Other than that - and the fact that just before Brian says "Are you ready, boots?", he appears to be snatched to the back of the stage by the hand of God.....

(Don't stand there gawping like you've never seen the hand of God before!)

Luckily, the Almighty releases him just in time to hit the cue.

Is the quality on this one better or worse than "Tiger"? I'm doing different things to the files, most of which I cannot explain.

i first heard of the guys when their Prisoner of Society single came out in the US ... mabye 97 or 98. Been a gig fan since. They put on an awesome show too. Last time i saw 'em the bassist stood on his upright and played a sweet bass solo while doing a balancing act. pretty sweet ... and Chris can f'in play.

im surprised they arent bigger here.
