Well here we are one month into the baseball season the Giants and Angles both are battling for their division lead and Dargin, Brian and I are all sitting atop our fantasty baseball league. Which happens to set the stage perfectly for Dargin and I's battle for Pride. We are going heads up in Fantasy Baseball this week so we decided to make a little side bet. The loser of this weeks fantasy showdown will have to A) Go to his local sports mart and purchase the opponents favorite team shirt(IE: Angels or Giants) and then B) take a self portrait wearing the shirt and post it on this thread. So there it is....whats at stake? Pride!! I can only imagine the look on Scottie's face as he's purchasing some SF Giants gear!! :D

Good luck Darg!!

i tried to not make this about Barry........but......

did you guys know that half way through his career Barry was on pace to hit over 600HR's? Did you know that Barry hit 46 HR's in 1993 and 37 in the strike shortened 1994 season. Did you know that Barry also has missed out on about 900 AB's because he gets walked so much.....did you know that Barry is the only player with 500 HR's and 500 SB's and there is only 2 others that have 300-300? Did you know that Barry Bonds has 7 total MVP awards...more than double that of his closest competitor. Did you know that Barry was "intentionally" walked 120 times in 2004? Can you name any other LF that has more gold gloves than Bonds? I'll leave you with Barry's HR totals since he joined the Giants in 1993(keep in mind this includes many 400ab seasons, where most MLB players get 600ab's) 46,37,33,42,40,37,34,49,73,46,45,5(only played 15 games)! Yeah...I see no reason why this guy should be chasing records!

i remember seeing him hanging out in the NAMM booth that same year......He had a hell of a year for you guys and parlayed it into a nice contract with Seattle. I think he's with St Louis now......probably playing more guitar than baseball though.

Does this image ring a bell?

the odd and ironic thing is.....with all of the Barry bashing that goes on in relation to steroids. I'm suprised you boys have failed to mention that you actually owe your 2002 World Series Victory to a homerun that was hit by a steroid user himself. I love Scott Spiezo and he's a hard nose player...but I think we ALL know where that magical 2002 season came from ;)

all thats left to say is...Humm-Baby!

Kevin must feel like he's in the same sinking ship with Steve Barr after four days of his players crapping their pants. Kevin told me he stays awake at night wondering how I pulled off the blockbuster trades on opening day, and how I can juggle a team with seven injured players and still come out on top. They don't call me Scott Stoneman for nothing.....think red Kev.
