Just got in from the G3 show in Upper Darby, PA and man was it killer. Petrucci played his ass off like he normally does. The BFR's looked amazing in person, and sounded phenomenal through his rig. His tone was definitely the best I've ever heard. All around his set was amazing, especially with Portnoy on the drums, and LaRue on bass. Speaking of Dave LaRue, holy s**t can he play! His bass sound was definitely booming and was rumbling my seat (but being in the 6th row might have had some help in that), I was hoping to see the Blue Dawn Bongo, but it didn't happen. Dave's a monster of a player, and his playing with Petrucci and Satch tonight was incredible (especially his bass solo in "cool #9"). All in all it was a great night, I just wish I would've brought my camera and gotten some sweet pics. John or Dave, if you guys read this, thanks for an amazing night and the best concert experience I've ever had. I'm looking forward to seeing more G3 shows.

I saw them here in Chicago a few weeks ago. The show was AMAZING. I was soo shocked that they played so many songs. They usually only play 3-4 songs tops, but Paul must have played 10, John 7-8, and Satch 7-8. Then they played 4 at the end instead of the usual 3. Paul and John are my favorite guitarists and I was so grateful that I got to see them together.

Sounds like the only way that gig could be any cooler would be to add Morse and make it a G4!
