Fed Ex dropped off a brand-spankin' new GK Neo 212 at my doorstep this morning! I hooked my 1001RB-II to it & have been wailing away (but quietly enough so that I don't wake up my wife & daughter who are both napping :D). I can't wait to really crank this thing! And I can't wait until my next bass gig. Too bad it's a couple of weeks away. :(

Nice Bill....Now when they wake up crank it with your shorts on (or just naked if you prefer) and let the wind from those woofers give you a tickle. Once you do that you might start thinking about a NEO 1 x 15 to slip underneath. Then you can come out of the shower, plug in and dry yourself off. Stanky can probably elaborate on the latter ;)

Yep, I'm loving this cab! I've been messing with it for most of the day today. I'd love to get either a 2nd 212 or a 115 for it for the really big gigs, but that'll happen some other time.

I'm still heading your way, Larry! I'm staying at the Hilton Anatole on Stemmons Fwy., and the convention is at the Dallas Convention Center. I've got your number saved in my cell phone. I'll give you a call when I get there & let you know what's going on.

Again, any other folks here from Dallas who'd like to meet up, just lemme know! I'd love to meet y'all! I should be free this coming Thursday & Friday nights.

Hey Bill, how is the weight on that thing? I am looking for a stand alone cab to go with a GK head for intown gigs. My big rig stays on the band trailer and I need something I can haul around.
They weigh 64 lbs. I have two of them and they are very easy to handle but also pump out some serious low end......especially with the Low B

Yeah, the weight is nice, although I haven't had a chance to lift it into my car's trunk.

Andrew, I cranked it a couple of times. It's hard to tell how it really sounds since every surface in the house was rumbling & vibrating, but I think I'll be quite happy in a gig setting! :D

Yep, Jason, still digging it! I've played only 2 gigs with it so far, but it's really sounding nice. My first "real" gig with it won't be until next month, but I have a couple of smaller gigs coming up this month. If you ever want to hear it, lemme know & we can hook up.

Larry, I'm tempted!

James has them at TPB, but playing in the store is different than a live setting. I was curious how they sound when the drums and guitar start.

Oh, okay. Yeah, the cab really shines in a band setting! I've done a couple of little Cajun gigs with it, but the real test will be when my other band starts up again next month. We'll be at the Roux House on November 18th.

Go for it, Scott! While my wife was out yesterday, I rolled my rig into the living room/dining room/kitchen area (all open) & really cranked this thing (vibrated a little urn thingamajig off a shelf, too! :D).

I think this rig coupled with a Stingray is all the bass tone I'll ever need for the rest of my life!

Notice I said "a" Stingray...I'm leaving myself open for additional 'Rays in the future.
