Wow, the Eagle logo looks sharp. But dude, are you sure you want a DT tattoo? It's one thing to have something music-related, permanently, but it's a much bigger step to have a band logo tattooed on you. Just my two cents.

I always thought if I was to get a Tattoo, it would have to be a guitar, and that guitar would be an Axis!

Here you go Tim. I haven't been on the site for awhile. I try to check in every now and then, but I'm working on my graduate degree and it's really taking up all my time. BTW, I couldn't have gotten this tat the way I did if it weren't for Jodi. She really rocks!

I've been mulling over the idea of another tattoo (I have 3 already), and I wanted my 4th one to be music/guitar related. I've been keeping my eyes peeled for a good idea or inspiration, when I came across this one on the Ernie Ball online shop.

Just to clarify, this is what I'm going for. I think leftyguitarblue posted a DT logo in this same thread for his idea. Just didn't want any confusion.

not the actual name, just the "M" majesty logo. My last name starts with M so it works out, like the one on my avatar, I just like that bright orange coloring.

Thats way cool, and certainly a blueprint for when I am totally sold on the idea!

I went to my local tattoo shop here in Nashville and got my tat done. I had him change up one thing. I got him to switch up the upper horn on the guitar to look more like an Axis.

I went black and gray for the color scheme. I'm going to let it heal up and see how I like it. The artist did say that he could add color later, so I can change it up if i wanted. I'm really happy with it!!!

Tattoo care has changed alot in the past few years. On my first one, they told me to use Noxema skin cream. On the second, it was fragrance-free lotion. On my third, it was triple antibiotic ointment. This time, it's soap, water, and vitamin A and D ointment. The dressing, I got to take that off within a few hours.

He told me it would look ugly for a few days, then it would look like it was supposed to. It's less than 24 hours old right now.

the cling film (shrink wrap) keeps stuff from getting stuck in it and the cream (e 45 , its a vitamin e cream) helps it heal, i did this for about a week with my last ones and nothing came out and they didnt scab, the only downside was the area was a bit spotty and itchy
whatever works best for you though!:)
