These are my favorites:

Rush: R30
Rush: Rush in Rio
Rush: Snakes & Arrows live (a lot of Rush I know)
G3 2005: Live in Tokyo
Dream Theater: Score
Dream Theater: Chaos in Motion (mainly for all the backstage/documentary stuff, but the music is awesome too)
Joe Satriani: Satriani Live

Just realized this is a 2 year old thread.

Dream Theater- Live at Budokan is THE cutting edge, most badass, pure energy DVD I own. I've seen it at least 25 times and it amazes me everytime.

Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere is also awesome for the atmosphere it creates/carries.

I absolutely agree with these....though I really dig some others that are absolutely brilliant.

If you go for something that really shows how different and similar at the same time all us axe players are, you should get a copy of "It might get loud"...when it's released on DVD in a couple of weeks. Even if you don't like Jack White, The Edge or Jimmy Page (or all of them :p), you will find this fascinating. I'm sure about that...
