Put in 13 hours today at work. I get home, A/C busted. Hit a high around 106 today. Currently reads 86 in the apartment. Gonna be a crappy night of sleep. Maybe I should get a hotel room.

:(

but the truck is paid off.

Speaking of Wal Mart...
You could probably find a small window-type A/C for like $ 79.99
Works fine for a bedroom, close the doors and chill out! ;)

+1 Best $80 you could spend.

Get call from maintenance guy: "We subcontract out. The subcontractor will be calling you."

Subcontractor: "I need to set up a time to come out to fix your a/c."

Me: "I can't make it. Please contact maintenance to be let in."

Subcontractor: "No problem."

Come home to 90 degree apartment again. I called the emergency maintenance number and I'm told: "I'll see what I can do in the morning."

And I'm supposed to sign a new lease before the end of the month. Looks like I'll be lookin' elsewhere.

Talked to the property manager. She was shocked. I was told that it would be worked on today. If I don't have working a/c when I get home tonight I'm exercising some ARS's. Arizona has a nice Renter's Bill of Rights.
