Its cool to have the many "bass communities" that we have. I spend most of my time between here and the Pit, and TB falls in behind the first two.

This forum in particular is Jam Packed with great folks.

So heres a few folks Id like to publicly thank, for making this forum the sweet place it is.

It would be cool if you guys could do the same.

In no particular order Id like to thank:

Jack (Lord Bongo/Dongo,Bovinehost) and Larry (Mobay): Both of these guys in Texas offered to help me out of a tough time, by offering their own personal basses on loan, until my SR5 was replaced.

Ken (moondog): I was looking for a pickguard for my Autumn Redburst SR5. Ken GAVE me a spare SR5 pickguard he had laying around.

Tom (tkarter): I wanted to try TI flats. Tom had a set sent to my front door.

Jason (bassmonkeee): Jason also hooked me up with a set of TI flats and a set of Chromes for almost nothing. As I also already stated in another thread, Jason also gave me a nice slice of humble pie, at Guitar Center, as he dropped one fat bass line after another.

There are a couple others here who have helped me out from time to time, but want no public recognition for their good deeds. I sincerely thank them also.

You guys just rock. Plain and simple.

Nothing to it, little brother. I would have been honored to do it.

There are people here that I owe thanks to, many people, in fact.

So I'm going to just issue a blanket thanks to all of you for making this place what it is. From BP to the newest of the n00bs, it's everyone working together that makes this what it is.

Every time a new guy/gal/space alien signs on, I think - cool. Another member of the family.

So pat yourselves on the back, cuz it ain't me or Jason or Larry or any of the other "established" guys that make it work - it's a team effort.

Amen Jack!

It takes a village to raise a .... wait a minute. Wrong analogy.

Anyway, for some reason this community really clicks. Everyone is attuned to one another and it seems that most are always willing to lend a helping hand.

I want to thank psychicpet (Pete) for swapping pickups with me and making my pearl blue SR5 the most killer bass I've ever owned and of course Aragorn35016 (John) for the deal that got me the SR5 in the first place.

Of course, Jack for all his hard work and great antics on the board. BP and the entire EB staff for obvious reasons. Kbaim (Keith) for all his help with my trip planning to the open house and the book he sent me. Gav for keeping everything in perfect order. And of course how could I forget Jon, the guy that keeps the SLO property beautifully groomed.

Thans to everyone here. It's a place I like to come take off my shoes and stay a while.

I wanna thank Pete DuBaldo for putting up with my incessant questions and following him from store to store so I could compare SR4, SR5 and Sterling necks and figure out which one will be my next bass. I'll definitely be ordering through Pete once I get the funds together. :)

I'm one of those newbies Jack was talking about. And I'd like to thank Jack and everyone else on the forum for making me feel welcome here. I really don't spend any time on other bass forums. They haven't interested me for some reason. The guys here are such nice fellows.

I'd also like to thank Jason for hooking me up with a set of TI jazz rounds. Those were my first set of TI's and won't be my last.

Of course, thanks to BP and all the EB staff. For a while, I didn't know who BP was, and when I finally figured it out, it blew my mind that the CEO of such a large company would be so involved in customer relations. What a great company!

Thanks everyone!

Gary

This is a big "thanks" to all the forum members for making me feel welcome!

It's funny...I never saw myself becoming part of a forum or thread community, but here I am!

There's a real connection here (pun slightly intended), not only with my fellow bass players, but all the thredders on EBF.

It's not just shop-talk about our weapons-of-choice, but (having only been here for a couple of weeks) I've been able to get into a somewhat-heated debate over one guy's financial situation one minute, then discuss our favorite songs/artists/influences with the very same people the next!

Just like family. Can wait to meet ya'll at the tour!

I have met and made friends at many forums.
We because of a common interest stand the best chance of becoming enduring friends. IMHO

I live my life by the golden rule.

I have found many good friends because of this forum. I am not always right in what I say but do say what I think and feel at the time. Sometimes I am not particulary proud of some things I have said.

I want to thank everyone here for both tolerance and understanding. That and friendship. That is the most I hope to ever gain by being a member of this forum.

I would also like to thank everyone that is working at EB. They created an SR5 that is probably the only bass I will ever really need. I doubt it will break and it has served me well through countless gigs already.

I lust after other EB basses. Not because I need to, but because I want to.

We all are very different people here.

It is like my dad told me long ago.

"All of us are smarter than one of us" He also said "getting mad fixed things the world would have been perfect way before you or I were born son."

I had a very smart father that gave me the world. I miss my father very much.

Since i have went way too far I am going to just.

I found this forum earlier this year and have found it a great place to share enthusiam around EBMM bass guitars - and bass playing in general. Thanks to all who make this place both entertaining and educational. :D

Special thanks to...

BP for hosting the whole thing - and for making himself so personally available!

Jon for working my frets and providing me a Sterling to die for (and with!).

The Bongomaniacs - you know who you are - for showing me the way into the club! ;)
