Rawked \M/:mad: \M/

Just got in from the Tool Concert tonight in Tucson. Maynard and company put on a good show. First time I had seen them live. Nice light show, cool animation. Only quibble was sound but rawk isn't about restraint.

Yeah, Justin plays a Wal usually.

I would love to see them when they come through Dallas but I think my wife would be upset if I bought tickets for any more concerts this summer. Oh well. :(

Arrrrrrgh!

me and my TA toque (knit cap) are jealous :p

they were great here in Vancouver last summer. and yep, Justin is pretty loyal to his Wal's BUT after restringing my buddy's 79 Sabre with a set of Hybrid Slinkys I immediately got a Chancellor-esque tone so EB is a big part of his sound. And I do believe he and Adam are Slinky endorsees.

Justin is a dang good bass player..... why waste his talents on a Wal?

That dude needs a Ray/Sterling/Bongo

As a current bongo owner, I haved owned 3 Wals. They do have some unique features but, as time went on, I got tired of the weight of the 5 string Wals when I played live. I had around $4000 tied up in two 5's and a 4 back in the eighties.
So with that being said, Justin does get a Kickass tone!

Tool is amazing live. I saw them last Thursday in San Diego. I had bleachers seats right up front so we could feel the drums. Pretty amazing!
