I know......all in jest.

I just have to be really careful about stuff like that or I can get into trouble.

Some of the restrictions are byzantine.

For example, I'm not allowed to tell anyone I'm a Bose rep when I'm in a GC store. I compete directly with the GC channel.

I'm also not allowed to solicit business as a Bose rep on the Bose board, though I can identify myself as a rep in my sig. That one I do not understand, but it's the rule.

Back OT....

The JamMan is a great product - I use one at home all the time when I am learning stuff - put one part down and repeat whilat I am playing a solo. Worked amazingly when I had to learn Emerald by Thin Lizzy for a charity gig.

You might want to check out the Looperlative stuff as well. I do this now with a laptop and Ableton Live. The advantage to Live is that I can do fairly sophisticated things.

The ipod idea's an interesting one. I might have to get out the old soldering iron and see what I can come up with.

If you're interested I have an iPod remote from my Fall 2002 iPod (when they came in the box with the iPod). This remote controls start, stop, forward and back one track options. I could rig up a continuity tester to figure out how the commands are transmitted if you wanted.

Great thread guys. We currently use mini discs. We use minidiscs due to the size of the gui, and ease of use. We aint one of those duo's that like to take a holiday between every song. The minidisc allows me to get the next song on pretty much instantly.

The main thing that has stopped us going to mp3 is the fiddlyness of it all. If anyone can come up with a way for us to use mp3 effectively, that would be awsome.:)
