OT: We are FINALLY moving!

Dear All

You all know what a saga it has been for me and Trev trying to buy our first place together. There's been stress, tears, guitar sales, monies raised, MORE tears (tho of happiness the second time), yadda yadda etc

HOWEVER... on Wednesday I parted with a rather large amount of cash (all the while working out how many Balls I could have bought with that money...) which meant our deposit and legal fees have been paid, and yesterday we went to see our new flat again. It's not without it's teething problems as the stupid builders were using our flat as their base and as a result the WHOLE floor and kitchen worktops need replacing.

Anyway... after we had been for the viewing yesterday, I got a phone call from my conveyancer who announced that:

WE HAVE EXCHANGED!​

Our completion date is Friday 25th May - so chances are we'll move in the following day, over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The relief, is immense - as is the feeling of knowing that we'll be safe from burglars and scumbags of all sorts in less than 2 weeks

I know the deal is no pics no flat, so here is a link to some photos, most of which I took yesterday Picasa Web Albums - Azzy - New Flat . The flat IS piddly by US standards, but for us Poms, it's actually quite large

We plan to hang our guitars up once we move, so suggestions on the wall you think would be best are very welcome!

Nice one Azzy, congratulations to you and your other half. Good size flat, nice kitchen/diner and living room. Plenty of room for entertaining etc . Its great getting your first place, I remember the excitement like it was yesterday. Best of luck at number 30!

It is indeed the Hamptons

We are currently in Fletton, so not the scabbiest area of the city, but that didn't stop us getting burgled!

The only downside is that my mum and my sister live next door to each other, and they're all of 3 minutes walk away from us now!

It is unfortunately only a 1 bed flat, but we have a large comfortable sofa suitable for sleeping on (just ask Tiff), and there is a Travel Inn just around the corner However if anyone is thinking of turning up, a few hours notice would be good

We got married in Cardiff and Trev's family still live in the Rhondda Valley - we are honourary Welshies
