OT: What are you reading?

Hey Tom, it's just beginning to get pretty hot here. I try to get out on the trail by 8am to beat the heat.
Peace

94 Degrees out here in Tucson at 9am yesterday. Summers are the off-season around here. Either that or buy a light set and ride the night. Of course, then you get to share the trail with all the nice critters coming out to enjoy the cooler temps as well. Can be a wonderful wildlife lesson.

Glad to hear about the waistline. Nothing like a good cardio workout. If I ever make it out to Georgia with my bike, you up for a ride?

You too Jon, if I make it out to SLO, you up for a ride?

Tom

Never been much of a novel reader, though technical books and/or manuals I can read cover to cover in a sitting!

One exception to the rule... I did start on the Harry Potter series a few years back, reading to/with my son. Now anticipating the upcoming "Half-Blood Prince: release next month.

I haven't done a night ride yet. I hear it is loads of fun. Tempwise, we'll hit the 90s soon. But it's the humidity here that really gets to you.

Look me up if you ever come this way. I'll show you the trails.

I used to read MTB A, at the time when John TOMAC, Tinker JUAREZ and Ned OVEREND where winning races in the NORBA. That's some pretty years away and I'm rarely riding now.
I know Jonzguitar also used to ride MTB.

MNF

Tinker still races. And this year, John Tomac came out of retirement to show the youngin's how to ride DH at Kamakaze. One of my bike's is a Tomac Revolver, his full-suspension XC bike.

Jon and Freddy,

Sweet! First round is on me at the post-ride recovery gathering. I hope you guys will be able to take me up on the offer someday.

Tom

Hey Fuzzy,

Is The Bass Place a good shop? Was going to take a trip up there to check out some cabs. Pickens are mighty Slim around here, Major Kong.

Tom

Yeah, it's got a good selection. It's where I got my EB from (through ebay). They're nice guys, too. They have a website where you can browse their inventory:

http://www.thebassplace.com/index1.html

They've even got a bongo on their front page!

Their amp selection is smallish, but I think that's because they dedicate most of their space to basses.

I don't buy too much gear, though. I just go look :D
